Transfer/Uninstallation

I have uninstalled my Contacts Organiser and have installed it on another PC but when I try to activate it, I am told the serial number is currently activated on another PC. How can I fix this?

If you are planning to upgrade your PC hardware, or if you are changing to a newer PC, the Contacts Organizer license can be transferred, but must be done before you uninstall the program. Uninstallation on its own does not transfer the licence.

In normal circumstances, you should select Help, Transfer License from the menu bar (not the buttons), and follow the dialogs. You will need an Internet connection for this to succeed. Once the Transfer process has been completed succesfully on the old PC the dialog will confirm this. Then you can install Contacts Organizer on your new PC, and activate the same serial number. Please note that if you are using Contacts Organizer Professional, it does not work on a PC running Windows Vista, and you would need to upgrade to Contacts orgainzer Personal and Business Edition.

If you have already uninstalled from the old PC, but still have the old PC, re-install on the old PC, and then go through the Transfer process as detailed above. If the old PC is no longer available, or failed, you need to contact the Product Support team here via our contact form for further help.
